Residential House Designed by Alfonsoideas Design

This residential house, designed by Alfonsoideas Design, stands out with its unique features and attention to detail. The design team utilized effect paint as a backdrop to accentuate the elegantly designed furniture, creating an atmosphere of sophistication. The use of laminam tile, wooden-feel tile, titanium panel, timber veneered flooring, and lacquer paint showcases the team's commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

The design team faced several challenges in this project. They aimed to expand the public space visually while discreetly hiding storage spaces. To achieve this, they cleverly concealed the bedroom and toilet doors using wood veneer panels, creating a clean and tidy appearance. The study room features see-through glass panels, further enhancing the sense of openness and expanding the view of the public space.

The design of this house incorporates a variety of explicit textures to create a cozy living environment. A zig-zag-like skeleton bookshelf, placed behind the dining wall, adds a unique touch along with the stunning textile greenish wall. The study room, with its panel glass, allows for a seamless transition between spaces, creating a visually interesting experience. The use of a wine box as a panel for the cabinet in the study room adds a distinctive element to the design.

Located in Taipei City, Taiwan, the design and construction of this project took a total of 14 months. The design team, led by Director Thomas Y C Tsai and Designer Susan S Y Su, dedicated three months to the design and discussion phase, followed by an 11-month construction period.

This exceptional design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2019. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit outstanding creativity and resourcefulness, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. The design of this residential house not only showcases strong technical and creative skills but also contributes to improving the quality of life, making the world a better place.
